SoftBank World 2021

SoftBank and SB C&S will hold 10th edition of its largest corporate event “SoftBank World 2021” in an online format from September 15 to 17, 2021

Under the main theme “Learn current digital transformation trends to have a clear vision of tomorrow”, the latest information on SoftBank’s DX initiatives and examples with partner companies will be introduced.

The themes for each day of the event are “Power of DX – Changing with Technology, Now and in the Future” on the first day, “Marketing DX & Security – Accelerating Business Growth through Data Utilization” on the second day, and “Communication DX – How to Work in the New Era” on the third day.
In addition to keynote speeches and special programs with guests, there will be more than 60 sessions by specialists in various fields, sponsors, and Softbank group companies. At the online exhibition booths, you can also view videos and documents about the services of the sponsors.

“Fiesta de España” to be held at Yoyogi Park in November 2021

For two days, from November 20th to 21st, one of the largest Spanish festivals in Japan “Fiesta de España” will welcome everyone to celebrate the beauty of Spain with its famous wines and paella complemented by flamenco and guitar performance in the heart of Tokyo, the famous Yoyogi park.

One of the stage highlights will be the traditional art of pouring sherry by “venenciador” a craftsman with excellent skills who uses a device called venencia to extract a small quantity of wine and pour it into the tasting glass from a height to help the wine to aerate and open up, enabling the tasters to fully appreciate its characteristics.

And of course, a large number of Spanish food stalls will present the most delicious and famous dishes. You can enjoy authentic Spanish dishes such as paella, ahijo, freshly grilled sausages and the Basque cheesecake along with beer, cava (sparkling wine) and souvenirs for sale.

National Ceramics Fair in Fukuoka

“Ceramic and Porcelain Fair in Fukuoka” will be held for five days from September 2 to 6 at the newly built “B” building in Marine Messe Fukuoka.

This event brings together the works of various pottery makers and artists from all over Japan, from Hokkaido to Okinawa. The items representing more than 14 types of ceramic styles of Japanese pottery will be available for sale as well.

In the “Artists’ Works x Ikebana Collaboration”, Ikebana Academy and the West Japan Ikebana Federation will display flower arrangements on vases made by the exhibitors.
At the “Okawa Traditional Craft Exhibition” furniture products and interior goods such as Kumiko, paulownia chests, and Kakegawa textiles, made by the skillful craftsmen will be displayed, along with woodworking workshops and performances.

Business Finland – The Metsä Pavilion in Tokyo

In preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Business Finland had opened the National Partner House and part of the Finnish Embassy – “Metsä Pavilion”

During the Olympic and Paralympic Games, the two-story wooden contemporary building was renamed “Home of Finland” and was planned to serve as a home base for the Finnish Olympic and Paralympic teams, where various parties and medal ceremonies were to be held, but due to the spread of the coronavirus, the participation of athletes was changed to an online format.

Currently, the pavilion is open for public tours with the number of anti-virus measures implemented, such as limitation of the number of participants per tour, alcohol disinfection, and body temperature testing.
Inside the pavilion, visitors can learn about Finnish elements in architecture and furniture design, as well as sustainable initiatives.
Until the end of 2021, the venue is going to be used as an event platform for Finnish companies and a Christmas market for the public.

It should be noted that advance registration via the official Facebook page is required for the tours and public events.

MOTOR CAMP EXPO at Expo’70 Commemorative Park in Osaka

Collection of campervans, outdoor vehicles, and outdoor gear will be presented at the park’s Omatsuri Hiroba (Festival Square) on July 3rd and 4th 2021 from 10:00 to 17:00.
First launched in 2019 The MOTOR CAMP EXPO offers new proposals for outdoor vehicles for travel and camping, an activity that has been on the rise since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
More than 70 vehicles are expected to be displayed, from popular mini campers with amazing functionality and space despite their cute appearance, to large cabs with beds and kitchens.
In addition to the display and sale of camping cars, an activity corner and marketplace for outdoor goods will be arranged as well.
At the activity corner, you can attend several types of workshops welcoming both kids and their parents.
