THE TOKYO ART BOOK FAIR 2015 will be held at Gaien Campus of Kyoto University of Art and Design / Tohoku University of Art and Design,

This is a book fair specialized art which has been held senven times in this year, In this book fair, highly individualistic publishing companies of art books, Catalogus, Artisit books, Zines and artists will get together.

About three hundreds of publishing companies, galleries, artists run booths and more than ten thousand visitors are expected during the three days period.

From this time, ‘ Guest Country Area’ will be set up. The first country, Swiss will have exhibitions showing circumstances about publishing in Swiss and their culture.In additon various events such as talk show and special exhibition’ Irma Boom BookS’ and so on are scheduled.

On August 19, PACIFIC CONVENTION PLAZA YOKOHAMA（PACIFICO Yokohama）participated in ‘Kids Adventure 2015’organized by the Yokohama City Board of Education as part of CSR activities for the first time.

The company held an event which kids can enjoy having job experience called ‘Let’s see the backstage – enjoy learning how professionals support the conference’at PACIFICO Yokohama annex hall.This event is active learning program for kids designed for the purpose of spread MICE Industry to a lot of people.

In this program, kids took classes to learn how to set up the convention, knowledge of acoustic,lightning and projection.in the last class, they simulated working at convention hall and then got certificate of completion.It was precious experience to know the backstage of convention with using real tool like audio and lightning equipment which professionals use in the actual work.

One of the program participants said with a pleased look’ It was really enjoyable to make a weird voice in acoustic class and use lightning and camera devices which I hardly handle,’

‘Kids Adventure’ is an career experience event that offer chances to interact each other through various social experiences for children in elementary school and junior high school in Yokohama City.And it also aims to set the stage for parent and child to talk about children’s future.
