Kume City Reflecting Voice from Citizens to Develop Tourist/MICE Strategy

By the end of this fiscal year, Kume City will draw up “Kume City’s Tourist/MICE Strategy” plan to increase visitors and promote local activities and economic revitalization. To incorporate opinions from citizens, the city started requiting committee members to organize a working group joined by tourist companies.

The working group will take place from the end of August to March 2015 during the day time. They will have about five meetings at the city hall. The city plans to recruit two members above 18 years old living in the city.

Tokyo Display Association will host “CHO-OMATSURI-this is the professional Matsuri!”, 2 days on August 1st and 2nd at Tokyo Hibiya Park Fountain and Elm Tree Field. This event is intended to promote awareness about display and Tokyo Display Association between general public and students who will be leaders of the next generation, as well as vitalization of the market, also as one part of 50th anniversary memorial event of the Association.

According to Tokyo Display Association, “By hosting event which converts planning ability, technological capability and imagination into something with shape which will give dream to society and the future, we would like people to experience the skill of professionals who creates the space through display.”
