JCS has acquired Japan’s first event-sustainable ISO20121

Japan Convention Services, Inc.(JCS) has acquired Japan’s first event-sustainable ISO20121 certification. This certification is an international certification, which was also acquired by the London Olympics. It was developed in order to conduct environmentally, socially, economically well-balanced event. JCS has also acquired Asia’s first BS8901.
Mr.Hoshino from JCS has said “Sustainability is crucial for organizing an event. We have inserted it in the PDCA cycle, and installed it in the practical operation processes. The earthquake has made me re-acknowledge the importance of event-sustainability.”

Mr. Hoshino has also said, “I would like to inform the acquisition of ISO20121 and the approaches we made to the stake-holders, and use it to ensure the cooperative structure with the partners such as clients.”

In addition, the BSI Group Japan, the company which authenticates the certification, is going to hold an explanatory seminar at its central office in Tokyo, featuring advantages of structuring / exercising the ISO20121. “JAPAN JEWELLERY FAIR(JJF) 2012” begins

To welcome the impending shopping season at the end of the year, the jewelry fair “JAPAN JEWELLERY FAIR(JJF) 2012″ will begin on 28th August.

JJF is a tradeshow jointly organized by the Japanese Jewelry Association and the UBM, which has hosted the world’s largest Hong Kong Jewelry and Gem Fair.

Coming to its 20th anniversary this year, 19 countries and regions will be exhibiting and there will be an increase of 394 companies showcasing from the previous year.

For the opening event, Ms Kanda Uno who has been nominated as the ambassador of jewelry will make an appearance. She will make public ETERJOURS, a Christmas mode that she has designed herself.

The president Mr Eve at UBM, the company that organized it, commented: ”The JJF is a very good place for business discussions because of it’s timing before the sales wars and Christmas, but at the same we really want to make it of practical use to those that attend to get a glimpse at the latest trends. That’s why it’s necessary to have a high variety of fashion and bridals, including unusual industries, to capture the many sides of jewelry. For the attendees the JJF shouldn’t just be a place where exhibitors gather and sell and handle their goods, they should see it as an event where they can get a lot of valuable and beneficial information.”

German Trade Fair Industry – 2011 Review now published

The annual report entitled “German Trade Fair Industry – 2011 Review” has now been published by the Association of the German Trade Fair Industry (AUMA) and includes analyses, assessments and statistics. At 68 pages, the review provides information on current exhibition developments in Germany, the exhibitions abroad held by German organisers and the competition around the world.

Joint workshop with the theme “MICE business in the City hotel”

May 14, 9, CBN-JP and  Group8 will hold a joint workshop with the theme “Current Status and Issues of MICE business in the City hotel” at Prince Hotel.

As a year of promoting MICE, Japan Tourism Agency was positioning 2010 as “JAPAN MICE YEAR”, related industries and local governments are working to put the effort into promoting.

In urban hotel on the other hand ,there is the voice of the later: “It may be possible to secure just stay, because of strong yen, banquet fee (conference room fee) is difficult even 90% discount on,” ” Sales people can not directly sale inbound MICE.”

Based on the current situation, focusing on the “C” and “I” among the MICE, joint workshops was decided as a place for exchange of ideas.

Professor Tamai of Rikkyo University, as a coordinator,  will discuss at panel discussion about the current status and challenges of each panelist.

“FABEX2013” start to accepting applications for exhibitors

From April 3rd to 5th of 2013, the JAPAN FOOD JOURNAL CO.,LTD. will host an exhibition on food products entitled “FABEX2013” at Tokyo Big Sight, and is currently accepting applications for exhibitors.

FABEX2013 is a one-stop business-to-bussines show specializing in lunch foods, eating out, and school lunches, combining “The 16th FABEX 2013,” and “The 10th Desserts, Sweets & Drink Festival.”
Same as last year the show combined with “2013 Japan Meat Industry Fair 38th,” “Wine & Gourmet Japan”  and “Noodle Industry Fair” and in total the shows are expecting 750 companies spread across 1500 units, with an estimated 75,000 attendees.

Because of this recent trend, the demand for going outside and traveling together with pets has increased.

The pet industry’s international trade fair “Interpets” states in it’s name that it’s a abundant fair for the lives of both pets and people. Besides the great amount of goods for pets, there are also life-style goods exhibited. You’ll find the latest pet food and refined fashion item’s whose design will catch your eye, and above all of that what especially caught my eyes were the special pet-size vehicles.

The vehicle was made in a collaboration between the French company Renault and the seat accessories producer Cabana.Upon seeing the exhibition, a lot of those attending stopped walking, and had a peek at the car.

The president of Renault Japon was also at the booth from day one, and stated: ”What I think is the most important thing is that being in a place where pet-lovers meet, and talking with those people helps us understand what kind of needs and wishes these people have.”

As for pioneering new business fields, the top knows the general needs from experience, and will have to make quick decisions and tactics, which he’s doing his best at at the event.

ad:tech Tokyo 2012: digital marketing global conference

The DMG Events Japan, who produces conferences and exhibitions, announced that on October 30 and 31st Facebook’s global creative solutions director Mark D’Arcy will be a keynote speaker at “ad:tech Tokyo 2012.”

Mark D’Arcy will be one of five keynote speakers. He will talk about how to use social networking services for business from the point of view of developing innovative ideas that effectively use social graphs.

This is the first lecture by the Facebook global creative director to be held in Japan.

“Ad:tech” is a global digital marketing conference held in Tokyo, New York, San Francisco, London, Singapore, Sydney, Melbourne, New Delhi, Bangalore for businesses within the global marketing communication sphere. LinkedIn, Twitter, Hulu, Facebook, and others were exhibited at “ad:tech” when they were starting up.

At “Ad:tech Tokyo 2012” the Tokyo international forum will be held at twice the scope it was last year. Aside from conferences, there will also be joint exhibits and the exhibition zone, innovation zone, and sponsor workshops will be held in the exhibition hall.

Foresee paperless document distribution

Toppan Printing have announced that “LinkPlace for Exhibition” will begin offering from late of August. “LinkPlace for Exhibition” combine personal cloud service “Evernote” and the O2O promotion system “LinkPlace”, developed the service newly expanded applications distribution of materials in the shop and exhibition.

The service is what customers want to be readily available material data that are distributed at stores and exhibitions. It doesn’t need to take a heavy material , customers and visitors can confirm the content of the material to access “Evernote”.

When visitors conduct a Pre-registration of the exhibition, they enter the account information of “Evernote” . Day of the exhibition, the registrant held up the IC tag their individual account information has been recorded at the reception venue .

On the day of the exhibition, participants receive an IC tag which is recorded an account information, and when they scan it into a device loading NFC in the booth where the device is placed, the outline of the data will be sent to paticipants’ “Evernote”.

Also, it provides paperless document distributed by exhibitors and organizations also in the exhibition. It can reduce the burden on the promotion and sending the direct mail (DM) to further visitors.

Trade fairs in Germany: Sharp rise in foreign exhibitors from Central and Eastern Europe

In 2011 non-EU countries in Europe attended German trade fair venues in increasing numbers. Thus, last year exhibitor numbers from Russia rose by 12%, from Turkey by 13%. As in recent years, the country with the largest number of exhibitors at national trade fairs in Germany was Italy, ahead of China.

Lecture of Latest MICE information of Vietnam

MPI JAPAN will hold the “MPI JAPAN August Seminar” at Roppongi Academy Hills 49 on 28th August.
