Tokyo Big Site has concluded a memorandum with TAITRA

Tokyo Big Site has concluded a memorandum with TAITRA regarding mutual cooperation for the exhibition on July 26th.

Tokyo Big Site has been demonstrating its commitment to enhance its globalization operation by setting up International Operation Team in Business Development Division since April. This memorandum is a part of the initiatives, which promotes building entry supporting system of the exhibition that Tokyo Big site and TAITRA co-sponsor.

Tokyo Big Site has making its effort to build a good relationship through employee exchanging program by concluding agreements with COEX and KINTEX in Korea. Also, Tokyo Big Site has been building co-hosting relationship with “ILA Berlin International Aerospace Show” in Germany as an International partner.

This is a very first time to conclude a memorandum regarding mutual cooperation with a public trade promotion organization.

Euro Fair Statistics 2011 lists trade fairs from 21 countries

The brochure entitled Euro Fair Statistics 2011 – now published by UFI – contains audited exhibitor, space and visitor figures for 2,250 trade fairs and exhibitions in Europe. This is the first time the report contains trade fairs in Turkey.

Yume Messe Miyagi reopens from July 20.

At last “Yume Messe Miyagi” has reopened on July 20.
“Tohoku Automobile Festa” is held in Yume Messe Miyagi for 10 days from July 20 (Fri.) to 29 (Sun.).
At its opening ceremony, there were a lot of addresses from many people interested had been anxious for Yume Messe Miyagi reopening, and the ceremony ended up with making for a blank period of construction over about a year and a half.
20,126 people came to the Festa over the weekend. It seems that the reopening of a facility for exhibitions which represents Tohoku will boost its reconstruction.
It is expected that there will be a much larger crowd this weekend.

“Odaiba School Festa 2012” to be held aim to increase automobile fans

Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association(JAMA, CEO: Akio Toyoda) decided to hold a new event  “Odaiba School Festa 2012” in Odaiba area for 9 days from Octorber 6 to 14, to also attract people who aren’t interested in cars or motorcycles.

“Odaiba School Festa 2012 Executive Committee” was set up as an organization to hold the event and elaborate it. The Committee participates 8 automobile manufacturers and 3 motorcycle manufacturers of members of JAMA, JAMA Secretariat, and companies that run commercial facilities affiliated to Seaside Subcenter Metropolis Industory Development Committee.

Regarding the event’s name, “It is this event that we’d like people who aren’t interested in cars or mortorcycles at all to visit. It is an “school festival” for everyone from children to adults to enjoy that we have aimed at.”, the sponsor said.
Last year, JAMA, whose main purpose is to tell people dreams and pleasure of cars, held Tokyo Motor Show for the first time in 24 years in Tokyo, and its period was 3 days shorter than the last one’s, nevertheless it resulted in success of that total visitors of the period reached 0.84 millions that is 37% larger than the last time. The 43rd Tokyo Motor Show is held next fall. To spur more poeple to visit the event, they hold “Odaiba School Festa 2012” this fall and are going to gain as many car fans and motorcycle fans as possible.

In addition to that, “Motor Sport Japan Festival 2012”, one of the biggest motor sport festivals in Japan, sponsored by NPO Japan Motor Sport Promotion Organization is held on Octorber 20, 21 after “Odaiba School Festa 2012” in the same Odaiba area. JAMA will link with this event as well.
