Exhibition News\" src=\"http:\/\/www.exhibitionindustrynews.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/04\/Andy-Orr-Tattoo-225x300.jpg\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" title=\"Tattoo Tea Party Reports 50% Increase in Visitor Footfall and Leaves a Mark on EventCity Boss!Exhibition News\" \/><\/a>The annual Tattoo Tea Party ran over the week end of 2nd and 3rd March 2013 at Manchester\u2019s EventCity and cemented its place as one of the most eagerly anticipated shows of the year.<\/p>\n<p>This year saw even greater numbers of the UK\u2019s top tattoo artists attend, with all exhibitors reporting fully booked appointment cards.<\/p>\n<p>To add to the carnival atmosphere, full size dodgems were offering free rides for the weekend, food and drink were in plentiful supply from the venues new caterers Smart Hospitality, and there was even an ice cream van for those who needed to cool down!<br \/>\nAttendances were up 50% on last year, illustrating the growing popularity of this art form, with the crowd being drawn from all walks of society.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, the attraction of seeing all of the incredible artists performing proved too much for EventCity MD Andy Orr \u2013 who took the plunge and had Grizzly from Grizzly Art Tattoo based in Coventry emblazon his shoulder with a specially designed tattoo.<\/p>\n<p>Andy said, \u201cThe tattoo means something personal to me, and I was delighted that Grizzly could interpret my thoughts and capture them so succinctly \u2013 it is a genuine art form.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEveryone at EventCity looks forward to working with Sue, Sam and Richard Harrison from H2 Events who are co-organisers of the Tattoo Tea Party along with Neil Dallywater from Tattoo\u00a0\ufffcRevolution Magazine and Martin McIver from Tattoo TV \u2013 they are all professional, enthusiastic and dedicated, but also very warm, friendly and a joy to work with.<\/p>\n<p>I look forward to continuing working with them over the coming years, to build an ever better show \u2013 although I can\u2019t promise I will have another tattoo just yet!\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div class='kindleWidget kindleLight' ><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/www.exhibitionindustrynews.co.uk\/wp-content\/plugins\/send-to-kindle\/media\/white-15.png\" title=\"Tattoo Tea Party Reports 50% Increase in Visitor Footfall and Leaves a Mark on EventCity Boss!Exhibition News\" alt=\"white 15 Tattoo Tea Party Reports 50% Increase in Visitor Footfall and Leaves a Mark on EventCity Boss!
