The focus of the Young Achievers Awards is to connect upcoming talent with the industry by providing the opportunity to meet key-figures, network and show case their talents and skills. Now in its 4<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0year, teams from universities across the country go head-to-head in a live bid presentation based on a real-life agency event brief.<\/p>\n<p>The teams will be judged by a panel of five senior meetings industry professionals including Richard Parker (Zibrant), Amanda Edgecumbe (Powwow) and Chris Clarke (p&amp;mm). The event is being sponsored by Switzerland Convention &amp; Incentive Bureau (SCIB) and partners St.Gallen-Bodensee Tourismus, Bregenz Festival House and Convention Partner Vorarlberg.<\/p>\n<p>The panel will, based on the proposal and pitch, decide on the winning team. The winning team not only walks away with the prestigious Swiss Cow Trophy but their efforts were rewarded with a trip to\u00a0Switzerland.\u00a0Previous winners include the University of Westminster and Leeds Metropolitan University.<\/p>\n<p>Samme Allen, president of the UK and Ireland Chapter and head of sales at the Barbican, comments: \u201cThe Young Achievers Award is MPI UK &amp; Ireland\u2019s way of showcasing the fantastic young talents who are the future of the meetings industry. The platform the awards<i>\u00a0<\/i>provide is an invaluable source of networking for students, giving them an unrivalled reach to a wide audience of industry professionals. Each year the quality of entries gets better and better and I look forward to seeing what this year\u2019s finalists have to offer.
