Amanda Macchi, Head-of-Corporate Sales, Silverstone Circuits Ltd<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Silverstone Circuits Ltd, which incorporates The Silverstone Wing, a state-of-the-art conference, exhibition and event facility, has strengthened its corporate team with the appointment of Amanda Macchi as Head of Corporate Sales.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Macchi brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously worked for a number of international hotel companies in both operational and sales roles. Most recently she founded a marketing, events and sales training company which she ran from 2000 until last year when she joined De Vere Hotels. Amanda also held the position of Director of Sales and Marketing at The Belfry from 1991 to 2000 and has been actively involved in a number of international golf events, including the Ryder Cup in 1993, 2002, 2006 and 2010.<\/div>\n

Having recently celebrated its second anniversary, The Wing is the perfect representation of Silverstone\u2019s diversified business and increased corporate offering. The venue has already been nominated for a string of high-profile awards, including winning the prestigious Event Award for \u2018Best Large Event Space of the Year\u2019 in 2012, cementing its position as a rising star in the events industry.<\/div>\n

Macchi\u2019s new position at Silverstone sees her overseeing the corporate Sales team, building on The Wing\u2019s success in its first two years and establishing it as a go-to venue in the corporate sector. Macchi\u2019s role will encompass the management of bespoke corporate events, exhibitions, conferences and functions within The Wing, as well as sales of retail experiences at the circuit and hospitality at Silverstone events.<\/div>\n

The Silverstone Wing, opened in May 2011 and situated in the heart of the world-famous Grand Prix Circuit, attracted over 120 new clients in its first full year of operation. These included many international blue-chip brands such as\u00a0Apple, Red Bull, Coca-Cola, Sony, Tesco, Hewlett Packard, Mercedes and Honda.\u00a0The venue is conveniently located midway between London and Birmingham, benefitting from easy access to major transport links, and has been home to some of the world\u2019s most prestigious events for more than six decades.<\/div>\n
