\"Event<\/a>Voting for the inaugural Event Technology Awards<\/a> opened yesterday, Tuesday 23rd<\/sup> July.\u00a0 Over 100 entries have been posted and are live on the official website.\u00a0 Event industry professionals are now invited to view the entries and cast their votes.<\/p>\n

The online voting represents the first stage of the judging process. \u00a0The industry vote will count towards a percentage score and will be combined with the evidence submitted by the entrants in determining whether they are shortlisted in their category.<\/p>\n

The website pages have been designed to provide a quick and easy way for people to cast their vote.\u00a0 However, people wishing to view more detailed information will also find links to each entrant\u2019s full submissions. Voters also have the option to not cast a vote in categories that they feel aren’t relevant.<\/p>\n

The online vote will close at 5pm on Thursday 8th<\/sup> August.\u00a0 The shortlist will be exclusively announced in the September edition of Access All Areas magazine, the official print media partner of the Event Technology Awards.\u00a0 Following its publication, the shortlist will also be available via the Event Industry News website. \u00a0Subscribers can receive free updates on the awards by registering their details at www.eventtechnologyawards.co.uk<\/a><\/p>\n

Commenting on the opening of the voting process, co-founder Adam Parry said:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are overwhelmed by the response.\u00a0 Given that this is the inaugural awards, entries have genuinely exceeded all of our expectations in both numbers and calibre.\u00a0 \u00a0Having had the privilege of viewing the entries I don\u2019t envy the task our judging panel will have when it comes to deciding the winners.\u201d<\/p>\n

The date and venue for the first ever Event Technology Awards ceremony has been confirmed and will be announced shortly.<\/p>\n
