Eventia’s unique education experience, which gives people the chance to witness both the build and then delivery of a major event, has attracted sponsorship from an award winning team at Virgin Atlantic.<\/p>\n

Following on from the success of 2012\u2019s \u2018Behind the Scenes’ experience, Eventia have secured the support of Virgin Atlantic’s Group Travel Scheme team for the 2013 Eventia Awards on 22nd November 2013.<\/p>\n

The experience gives participants the chance to meet all the various teams involved in the final stages of delivering a large event – in this case the biggest night in the event industry awards calendar. From front of house to food and beverage, screens to sound, the talent to the show caller, ‘Behind the Scenes’ provides a unique insight into the teamwork required to ensure a successful event. Then you get to enjoy the awards show you’ve seen being planned!<\/p>\n

Awards are important for the Virgin team, such as the Group Travel Organiser Awards, where Virgin Atlantic have scooped Best Airline for Group Travel, so the chance to support this innovative and immersive educational opportunity linked to the event industry\u2019s premier awards event was too good to miss.<\/p>\n

Virgin’s Rebecca Duncan (Team Manager, UK Groups and MICE) said, “We are really excited to be actively involved with the 2013 Eventia\u00a0 Awards. Travel to and from the event is all part of the experience and our aim is to be recognised as an Airline who values MICE travel”.<\/p>\n

Rachel Ley, who heads up the Eventia education committee and has devised the programme for the day added, “We’re really proud to have such an innovative and supportive partner sponsoring ‘Behind the Scenes’ this year. In many ways they recognise that it’s the quality of the total experience that creates lasting impressions. Our aim is to ensure that we deliver the kind of service experience for our participants that the Virgin Atlantic Group Travel team have developed for the MICE sector. It’s a fantastic fit from our point of view.”<\/p>\n
