{"id":12440,"date":"2013-10-10T21:42:11","date_gmt":"2013-10-10T12:42:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.exhibitionindustrynews.co.uk\/?p=4077"},"modified":"2013-10-10T21:42:11","modified_gmt":"2013-10-10T12:42:11","slug":"visitors-welcome-new-hospitality-at-the-secc","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eventbiz.net\/english\/?p=12440","title":{"rendered":"Visitors Welcome new Hospitality at The SECC"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following its opening last week (30<sup>th<\/sup> September), the newest addition to the Scottish Exhibition &amp; Conference Centre (SECC), the Clyde Built Bar &amp; Kitchen, has welcomed unprecedented numbers over its first seven days.<\/p>\n<p>Enhancing the experience for conference delegates and exhibition visitors to a campus which already boasts three hotels and 500 bedrooms, the Clyde Built Bar &amp; Kitchen will double as a pre event destination, and with views over to the new 12,000 seat SSE Hydro arena, the restaurant has already proven a hit with the mass of visitors passing through the site.<\/p>\n<p>In its first week alone the restaurant has served:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Over 500 covers in the kitchen<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Over 200kg of prime Scottish beef<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 40kg of fresh plum tomatoes for its Clyde Built pizzas<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 140 kegs of Beer<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1800+ bottles of beer<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1600+ bottles of wine<\/p>\n<p>Developed and run by catering partners Levy Restaurants, the facility offers guests a tempting selection of dishes, many of which with a Scottish provenance.<\/p>\n<p>Ben Goedegebuure, Sales Director, Scottish Exhibition &amp; Conference Centre said;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve worked closely with the Levy Restaurants team here at the SECC to develop the best facilities for visiting delegates and the new Clyde Built Bar &amp; Kitchen, already in its first week, has proven a real success. The restaurant pays tribute to the city\u2019s proud heritage and offers our guests an even more memorable hospitality experience.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>John McNeil, Catering Experience Manager, for Levy Restaurants added; \u201cWe are really pleased to have seen visitor numbers as high as they are. The Bar &amp; Kitchen forms a crucial part of our strategy to enhance the catering facilities through the campus and so far, so good.
