An US travelling magazine “Cond\u00e9 Nast Traveler” awarded Kyoto for the best tourist city in the Asia category for 2013.<\/p>\n

This year’s “Reader’s Choice Awards” saw Kyoto with 90.0 points for culture, 80.6 points for friendliness, 82.7 points for atmosphere, 81.5 points for restaurants, 75.3 points for hotels and 60.4 points for shopping, making the average of 81.6 points. Having a huge 1.7 point lead to Vietnam, Hoi An in the second place, Kyoto became the first place. It is the second time for Kyoto to become first in the same award since 2011.
